Join us in supporting the dancers and events at Mactír Academy of Irish Dance as we build an inclusive and supportive community for our dancers and Twin Cities' Irish culture. There are many ways big and small that you can volunteer your time and energy to help build and sustain our community of strong and talented athletes.
Selecting "Volunteer with Mactír and TCIDA" will get you access to volunteer opportunities at performances, events, and celebrations. You will receive additional emails or GroupMe messages about events as they approach.
Selecting "Attend TCIDA Meetings" gets you a standing invitation to Twin Cities Irish Dance Association (our parent booster club) board meetings. Everyone is welcome to attend and provide insights at these recurring meetings.
Team Captain is a more involved role. We are looking for parents that have been around the studio a while to help newer parents and field routine questions to assist Emily and Ciara.
You'll stay up-to-date with the Howler newsletter and TCIDA communications.
You'll set up a GroupMe chat for your class and answer questions from the team.
Contact Emily or Ciara when you don't know an answer and share answers with the chat.
Organize team outings (ice cream socials, park days, pool parties) to build community.
The TCIDA has several Committee positions available. These will be focused on supporting specific events.
Put your name in the hat for nomination to the TCIDA Board. Terms are two (2) years long and elections are held in the Fall. Positions do occasionally open for various reasons, so having a list of interested nominees helps the selection committee keep the Board full.
