In ancient Ireland, the Spring festival
of Bealtaine was the moment the community gathered to light the "Need-Fires" - a spark of protection and hope for the year ahead.

This year, Mactír isn't just performing, we are lighting a fire for our neighbors. We are bridging the "rebellious history" of Irish dance - once practiced in secret as an act of cultural survival - with the current struggle for stability faced by local immigrant communities.

Bealtaine

In partnership with Wilson Foundation, we will be raising funds for MPLS Recovery & Response to provide rent relief for families affected by Operation Metro Surge this past winter.

We invite you to a Bealtaine festival that honors the rebellious history of our ancestors. From the "Many Roots" wall sharing our immigrant journeys to the "Leapstacle Course" honoring the leap of faith every newcomer takes, every moment of this evening is designed to connect and uplift.
